Quality and Health and Safety Manager

Job description:

  • Assures company is adhering to ISO standards
  • Conducts site inspections to ensure site is meeting H&S standards
  • Approves sub-contractors
  • Ensure absolute and continuing compliance and understanding of CDM legislation and that the regulations are being implemented to a satisfactory standard
  • Provide Health & Safety induction for all new starters and ensure existing staff are made aware of legislative changes and their impact
  • Instruct Contracts Managers on Health & Safety issues and site standards. Monitor sites, issuing notices as appropriate in accordance with Group policy and closing sites when required.
  • Ensure that CDM documents are correct and complete at least 5 days before commencing work on site and that O & M manuals are complete and handed over on time
  • Regularly evaluate the contribution, effectiveness and costs of all suppliers including those concerned with Health & Safety, Building Control and labour supply
