Project Overview:

The global company that created the Oyster Card technology and station access gates are based here in the UK. Maris and Cubic worked together in the early stages to re-purpose their 60,000 sq ft freehold facility. With a strategic approach to the building, we relocated the building reception, opening up the ground floor ceiling slab to create a double height entrance, which leads to a catered and staffed restaurant, with flexible furniture and AV, suitable to host whole company “all hands” meetings, a crucial element of their business. We helped Cubic to evolve their working culture, to make the management visible and physically located in the heart of the floor plate while the staff enjoy the views and light. A central hub draws staff to a variety of collaboration and focused settings.
